yes, my fear officially kicks in.

my first year servicing for this company was so-so until they decided to cut down resources but luckily it's not from our department. they 2 guys sitting behind me were'nt that lucky- they're under the US/AM team and they were given the same reason, other people can do their task so why multitasking? oh, that one is called retrenchment people. gossips were around the air, our boss came and settled down telling they won't be cutting us down, not in our department. so much value heh?

so then we moved to a new building. feel safer though.

not until yesterday.

we were told that the top management has decided to reallignment, restructuring whatsoever you call them to the 3 people in Msia, 2 in Australia, 4 from Bangalore, India to the other side of Europe, under the Romania Management. my first reaction? WHOAH IT'S GOTTA BE ME!

and so it is.

i let myself loose a bit and met the boss and told him what i feel. i wonder why am i so positive about this transferring thingy. know what i've been dreaming? yes, i can go to europe again! haha no. not until yesterday evening. i think and i think. yuck this could be their way of ending my position. no mood at all, i didn't continue my work till today.

so again, the boss held a conference call for all of us. the India team was shooting like a bullet train, one after another question was raised. of course they're not happy, we've felt so comfortable and now this? we, the Msia team raised up a very sensitive question. "is this your way of cutting us?". very straight-forward kinda question. the boss kept telling no, we're not cutting resources, you could have seen the email sent by Tony from US saying these changes have not resulted in displacement of any employees, so the answer is no.

well, that's a relief.

but then again my mind starts to think the other way round. okay what if the current situation is a NO but will we still be safe in the next 6 months? what if they want to cut down our department in Msia saying that we don't need extra team to be added to Romania, they can handle themselves?

YES, WHAT IF???

i'd better start searching for a new job now.
